A year has literally whistled by since “all things spiritual” website Spiritual ConneXtions was launched.  And, true to form, it has been tirelessly fine-tuning, expanding and efficiently publicising its excellent original concept, now welcoming in excess of a staggering three million visitors since December 2005 alone.

We spoke to Richard - the site’s creator - and asked him how things were going since the March 2006 “first birthday”.  Richard told us that he’s still flat out promoting the website’s services, not to mention trying to deal with the ever-increasing demand on his personal time, be it for public appearances or for hectic live event broadcasting around the UK.

He also mentioned the introduction of a new section to the website and an impressive selection of new radio talk shows to respond to and acknowledge actively all listener feedback.

The new area is the “Paranormal Directory” - a section designed in response to the growing number of individuals looking to find their nearest paranormal investigation group, undoubtedly due to Public interest in popular TV shows.

This new section will consist of a search feature to pinpoint ones nearest Paranormal Group and any interesting events; of course Richard says it does depend on the investigators placing their details and events (for free) under their directory.  With such an easy to navigate website, it will no doubt be a speedy success.

As to the site’s new radio shows, these will be mainly talk-orientated, featuring both brand new and familiar named presenters such as Philip Solomon, Carol Sterling, Mark Turner, Allison Jordon, Paul Cissell, Diana Jarvis and Colin Flaherty. The new team will join other popular shows such as Samantha’s (from Heaven Sent) Question & Answers Show, Kelly’s Love Hour, Gethyn’s Spiritual News Round-up, and a variety of others.

New shows will embrace spiritual philosophy, paranormal investigations, live FREE phone readings, church services and general phone chats with Physical Medium Lyn Johnson.

Richard tells us – “It’s a very exciting time for spiritual/psychic shows the media; we believe that our listeners will enjoy our continued free service and we’re happy for anyone to approach us with their own radio show ideas.”

One thing he is determined to put to rest is the misconception that there is a premium charge to ring the Studio for readings or chats; he reassures us that there is no premium rate number.  Unlike some broadcasters, the site has always felt that its radio should offer a free service.  Of course the only charge will be the regular phone bill when calling – premium lines are not welcome!

Recent interviews have showcased many well known mediums - Gordon Smith, David Wells, Colin Fry and Mia Dolan - just to name a few.  The days of Spiritual ConneXtions having to approach such mediums for valuable time involved in interviews are happily now history.  Over the last few months, with the radio station becoming one of THE main spiritualist radio stations, mediums and other celebrities have contacted Spiritual ConneXtions direct for a chat – a true measure of just how popular the site and services have become.

One thing they are extremely proud of is the dating/meeting section - the only spiritualist dating/meeting site online to be designed exclusively for spiritualists, be it for finding new love or meeting like-minded new friends.  Literally, a tiny fee is levied to entitle users to enjoy the premium service; other mainstream dating sites, not designed with spiritual beliefs at the forefront, continue to charge fees which, Richard believes are, bluntly, “ridiculous!”

The team and Richard are hugely proud to be creating the path that Spiritual ConneXtions is treading.  They view it as a wonderful method to encourage understanding of spiritualism globally, continually working in tandem with other media to promote the faith and beliefs.

Spiritual ConneXtions is a private venture and not affiliated with any other larger companies; no profit is made from the website – all money raised is put towards keeping Spiritual ConneXtions online and performing at its optimum level.

If it wasn’t for the continued support from the Media and so many site visitors and listeners, Spiritual ConneXtions would not be celebrating birthdays today, and a highly inventive and original champion of spiritualism might have been lost somewhere in the ether!

Richard and colleagues are chuffed to bits that that is NOT the case.  Far from it!
