Spiritual ConneXtions – the website launched in March 2005 as a Spiritualists’ interactive on-line meeting point/“What’s On” directory - has shown a phenomenal interest from the public tapping into its services.

Three months on it has kept its “work-in-progress” promise – listening to all suggestions to broaden content. The latest “facelift” celebrates yet more features added. Standing still will never be an option - such is the dedication of the project team!

Richard Blair (Portsmouth-based), who started the project with friends, told us: “Spiritual ConneXtions had nearly a million website visitors this May. It’s one of the fastest-growing sites for people advertising spiritual skills, churches, events and workshops – even themselves! Because one of the most visited elements of the website is its Dating/Friendship feature - exclusively for Spiritualists looking for love/friendship. There’s a secure Chat Room, Audio and Video (optional), Private Messaging, Message Board, Free Introduction System, and much more. So, to find someone local and like-minded, this feature is invaluable. Richard is confident it offers as much choice as, if not more than, other dating sites. And it refuses to demand ridiculous payments to join, remaining true to its Spiritualism roots.

Spiritual ConneXtions also promotes a Spiritualists’ Online Web Directory (ideal for local churches sourcing etc) and a much-admired Spiritual Radio Station, with great sounds, fascinating interviews from mediumistic talents such as Colin Fry, Stephen O’Brien, Keith Charles and Andrew McKellar. There’s brilliant range of advertisements promoting spiritual services - all at the click of the speaker icon on the home page. It’s fun to use and simplicity itself to navigate.

As the website has been designed to search for local Mediums and Churches, it’s absolutely vital that Churches and Mediums place information (a free service) on the site as a matter of priority. By registering/adding their names to the database, Medium Secretaries can search for new Mediums to visit their Churches. When registering, pictures of any Church (or of individuals), important Service times, details of charges and much, much more can also be uploaded at any time, and it also incorporates a Public Review System.

Now, with an ever-building membership, Spiritual ConneXtions is offering additional features, such as a “Buy and Sell” service, allowing Spiritual people to advertise products for sale or, if looking to purchase, enabling them to place a “Wanted” advert (a bit like ebay but specifically for Spiritualists).

Another new element is a fascinating “Spooky Tour” service, teamed with “Twilight Tours”, offering entertaining Spiritual Tours (a bit like Living TV’s “Most Haunted”). The tours are aired on radio (Spooky situation fans note: Spiritual ConneXtions is looking for participants!).

Another, imminent service is a dedicated TV Station, geared unashamedly towards Spiritualists. “It’s still at its testing stage but looking positive and ideally ready by the end of the year”, says Richard.

Richard is happy for anyone to contact him to present their own show. The site has recently introduced many live programmes on its Radio Station: ‘phone-in readings with Medium Paul Cissel, a “Help and Advice” Show with “Inspired of Spirit’s” Emma and Nick, Spiritual Philosophy Show with Medium Mark Borrington , Richard’s Quiz and Request Friday Night Show, the Haunted Show, co-presented with Paul Cissel, and not forgetting the nightly Kelly’s Love Songs, where people dedicate songs to loved ones - here or in the spirit world. The site even incorporates on-line Healing and Remembrance Message Boards – wonderfully energetic and comforting ideas in themselves.
